A thin steel wire with a nylon coating can be adjusted easily and precisely down to the millimeter.

How does the BOA system work?
To tighten, push the dial down and turn it until the shoe fits snugly and comfortably. To take the shoe off, pull the dial up — the wire releases instantly.
