3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 460 exhibits good shear and peel strengths along with good impact and durability. It bonds extremely well to many surfaces. such as, metals, ceramics, wood and some plastics.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 460 exhibits excellent shear and peel strength along with good impact durability. It bonds to many surfaces, such as ceramics, wood and select plastics. When it comes to preparation and application, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 460 is straightforward and easy-to-use. Simply mix the components with a 2:1 by volume mix ratio and then apply according to the instructions to achieve a strong, long-lasting bond. The components are easy to mix and the 60 minute work life means users have ample time to make adjustments to bonding surfaces before a durable, long-lasting bond is achieved. For easier mixing and application, use 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ EPX™ applicators with a duo-pak cartridge put-up. Epoxies begin as reactive liquid polymers that undergo a chemical reaction when mixed, and then cure to form a solid plastic material. Once the two parts are mixed in their specified ratio, they begin the curing process and offer a limited working time where the adhesive can be applied and the two surfaces positioned as need. This work life lasts anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours or longer. These structural adhesives provide high shear and peel strengths, depending on the formula, and better heat and chemical resistance than other common adhesives. In general, epoxy adhesives have the highest overall strength and offer the best performance and resistance to high temperatures, solvents and outdoor weathering. Epoxy adhesives are widely used in building and home construction, aircraft and automobile manufacturing, military applications, bicycle, boat, golf clubs, ski and snowboard assembly and a host of other applications; virtually anywhere high-strength bonds are
